Collaborative vocal Improvisation
We offer several different workshops and courses in vocal improvisation in Långrådna - Sweden.
FÖR VEM?
Olika workshops, kurshelger och veckor har olika nivåer inom CVI som konstform. Från Introduktion till Avancerad.
Musikaliska termer kan dyka upp men vi utgår då från kroppen istället för huvudet.
För att få ut mesta möjliga av kurserna behöver du vara beredd på att gå in i processen, säga ja till att jobba med din musikalitet och sång med eget driv, prova fullt ut, kasta dig in i det okända och kanske läskiga. Visa dig och låt oss höra dig! Var nyfiken och öppen gentemot dig själv och andra och möt dina hjärnspöken med kärlek. Det är en fördel att ha erfarenhet av gehörsmusik och improvisation men inget krav. Kurserna är kärleksfullt utmanande och du behöver vara beredd på att låta dig synas och höras och få support för att utvecklas så mycket som möjligt i ditt vokala musikskapande.
MAX 12-16 DELTAGARE (beroende på hur många som övernattar)
I din ansökan berättar du om dig, din musikaliska bakgrund och skickar även en oredigerad inspelning där du sjunger improviserat, ca 1 minut och inspelat direkt i din telefon. Gör det bara! Hör av dig om du är osäker på om detta är för dig. Jag vill att alla som kommer ska känna sig trygga med att detta är något de vill vara del av. Jag ser stor mening i att få till en grupp där ni som är med verkligen får chansen att växa och utvecklas på olika plan.

Har du provat på improvisation med mig tidigare? I så fall har du fått glänta lite på dörren till vad CVI kan innebära. Det finns så mycket mer och fantastiskt roligt inom denna konstform! Vet du vem Bobby mc.Ferrin är? Det vara han som populariserade CVI men det är egentligen en uråldrig konstform som finns i många kutlurer.
Spelar du instrumentet röst? Längtar du efter att skapa musik med andra med ditt instrument? Som vokalist känner jag ofta att detta är som att äntligen få leka igen och hitta nya lekkompisar. Inom given struktur och olika former, leker vi olika roller. Lets PLAY music together!
Du är ett fullvärdigt instrument i mötet med andras instrument.
Du är Solist, Bandmedlem, Orkester och Dirigent, med din kropp - ditt instrument.
"Play music", engelskans play hjälper oss förstå att det är lek det handlar om. Lek är något av det allvarligaste, mest seriösa, roligaste och finaste som finns. Kär-lek.
Lyssna intensivt och följa precist, både inåt och på de du skapar med, med din röst.

The modern world does not allow for many spaces where people are invited to play, and share their voices in all their wildness, and all their vulnerability. But there are deep, joyful connections to be found from swimming in these waters. Working with music within a group of peers, and growing together as a collective instrument is a powerful journey. It can open paths to self-discovery, growth in self-confidence, and your ability to connect with others.

"I am a Vocal Process Artist, course leader, singer and songwriter. My roots are in folk singing, classical singing and theatre. I have been inspired by and collaborated with famous teachers in singing, voice, theatre and improvisation in different countries for the last 20 years, including Frankie Armstrong (UK), Anders Nyberg (SE), Kefas Berlin (SE) & Teater Morgana (DK) Jodi Gilbert (NL) Briony Greenhill (UK)
Energy, humor, thoughtfulness, presence, & courage to create great music in simplicity with our living body instruments together are what I am passionate about in my work. Letting ourselves be touched and having fun! I work with voice singing & improvisation a capella, with the body as an instruments. I am active in the international choir leader network Natural Voice and regularly tour with my workshops in Europe and Sweden. I run the singing centre Långrådna Kultur on my farm where I annually lead Women's Voice Camp and courses in Vocal process art and vocal improvisation together with Claire Stronach (UK) and Tom Keegan (UK) among others.
VOCAL PROCESS ART is an art form and an artistic tool that I have developed and use both as an artist and leader in vocal process work. The process and what we create in the present is in focus, not the performance in front of a passive audience and I work with groups and individuals in depth to create art from the inside out.

"I'm a filmmaker, musician, and woodworker. I grew up in London, where I was lucky enough have a community Arts centre a short walk from my house. There, I performed on stage for the first time, attended regular performance workshops, and took part in many of the community theatre productions between the ages of of 8 to 18. After studying Photography and Media, I went on to work in video production, writing, filming, and directing streaming content, commercials, and TV shows. Alongside my media career, I continued to perform on stage with the Bristol Improv Theatre, performing in various improv troupes, as well as learning improvisational singing with Imo Palmer (UK) for an improv musical show that we later took to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. More recently, I've been learning the arts of fooling with Holly Stoppit (UK), and CVI with Briony Greenhill (UK). I've come away from these recent explorations with a renewed passion for the creative processes, and huge respect for what forms like Collaborative Vocal Improvisation can do to foster connection, creativity, and joy.
